The Canadian Sub Aqua Club has several instructors that take part in the different aspects of training our divers, all are volunteers.
Leonard Teuma-Castelletti (A.K.A The Training Director)
A certified diver since 1968 and an Instructor since 1981; he holds Instructor ratings with several agencies, including NAUI, SDI, TDI, DAN and ACUC International.
Specialty Instructor Ratings include; Oxygen & AED First Aid, Advanced Nitrox, Extended Range, Deco Procedures, Advanced Rescue, Underwater Propulsion Vehicle, Night, Ice, Dry Suit, Solo Diver and 10 DAN courses to name a few.
Leonard is an ACUC Instructor Trainer Evaluator and has served as the Club’s Training Director since 1993. He also owns and operates LTC SCUBA Centre, in Concord Ontario.
Favorite local diving areas are Kingston and Brockville.
Brian Kruschel
Brian began diving in 1961 at age 7 with his father and became a swimming instructor with Red Cross and RLSS at age 16. While at univeristy in 1978 Brian was ceritified as an Open Water Diver through CMAS and ACUC.
Brian was certified as an ACUC Instructor in 1993 and started teaching at the Scarborough Underwater club.
In 1994 he found the Canadian Sub-Aqua Club was close to his home, and joined them after learning that Leonard was the Course Director. Brian had known Leonard for some time through Leonard's sister Roberta.
Brian enjoys playing music and riding motorcyles, (often with Steve). His favorite diving is warm water locations.

Steve Simpson
Steve started his diving career during his stint with the US Army 1978 - 1986. He retired in 1986 as a Captain with the Airborne Rangers, Special Forces.
Steve was certified as an Open Water Diver with NAUI in 1979. He received his Instructor certification in 1982 and holds Instructor ratings with a number of agencies including ACUC, NAUI, SDI, TDI and PADI.
Currently Steve holds Instructor Trainer Certifications with PADI, SDI and TDI in both Recreational and Technical Diving. Specialty Instructor ratings include; Drysuit, UPV, Ice, Advanced Gas Blending, CPR, Oxygen, and First Aid to name a few. Steve was the first Canadian Instructor for the PADI REC/TEC and Technical Rebreather Certifications. In 1999 he recieved his Level 1 Certificate for Foreshore and Underwater Archaeology from the Nautical Archaeology Society.
Steve joined CSAC in 1996 and has taught the Open Water Diver training program since this time. He also enjoys restoring American Muscle Cars, riding motorcycles (mostly with Brian) and Sky Diving. His favorite diving is done here in Ontario.
Ramy Elitzur
Ramy started his diving career in 1976 with the Israeli Defense Forces.
He became a PADI Open Water Diver in 19 , and received his PADI Instructor rating in 2005 .
Ramy crossed over to ACUC in 2006 and started teaching with the CSAC at this time. His specialty instructor ratings include, Drysuit,
His favourite dive spots are Kingston (Ontario), the Red Sea, and Cozumel.
