Gail was first certified in 1977 and dove off and on during vacations around the world. Places like Australia, Grand Cayman Island, Jamaica, and Florida. During these early years, most of her diving in Canada was limited to Tobermory and her parent's cottage in the Kawarthas. When Gail joined the club in 2007, she was re-certified that spring as an ACUC Open Water Diver. She has since completed Dry Suit, Rescue Diver, TDI Nitrox Diver , Ice Diver, Solo Diving, and Divemaster (2010) certifications as well as the DAN Diving Emergency Management Program - including Basic Lifesupport for Dive Professionals, Advanced Oxygen Provider, Automated External Defibrialltor (AED) and Neurological Examiniation, and therefore recognized as a DAN Diving Emergency Specialist . Gail is also a certified Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard (Pool) , Swimming Instructor and Water Safety Instructor, as well as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
Gail does not really have a favorite dive location but does consider Brockville diving some of the best.
